Lemoncello Tunic

If your skin tone looks good in fresh pale lemon and cream, this may be your tunic. The body of the tunic is a comfortable flexible tiny Fortuni pleat in a very pale lemon. The center panel has delicate 3D embroidery in a 'vine and floating flowers' design on a pale gold mesh. The flattering draped neckline has delicate, subtle tracery embroidery and delicate pink sequins on pale gold mesh.  The diagonal raglan armholes are created with wavy petal-like seams pointing up to the face, and the bottom and cuff edges echo this petal effect.

Pose for your photograph in a light-filled setting or on a white background and have a modern Mary Cassett paint you in an impressionist style. Alternatively, apply a 'painting' technique from Photoshop to your photograph.  Are you to be a Mother of the Bride or Groom in a destination wedding? DETAILS

The laser-cut floating petals in the center panel are white and pale taupe chiffon. They are attached to the pale gold mesh background of the center panel with a tiny bead or single sequin. The vine is embroidered in a raised stitch with a green satin thread. More flowers are embroidered with deep yellow, and gold-orange thread. A leaf of two in iridescent satin are attached at the edges with green satin thread embroidery and a center line is created on the leaf with tiny beads.

FABRIC

The main fabric is a lightweight pale lemon Fortuni 100% soft poly. It is permanently pleated in a machine like a waffle iron. It stretches and folds and travels with ease. It won't crush. Once out of your suitcase, give it a quick shake, throw it over your head and off you go to a fancy event. Wear it over a swimsuit so you can relax in company! Throw it over your lingerie to be comfortable and elegant, if your bed 'time' is flexible. 

SILHOUETTE and SIZING

This raglan sleeve, one size garment, has a high fashion oversize look on a small person. It is as beautiful on generous a Rubenesque figure.

The sleeves are 3/4 length with wavy petal edges to show off delicate wrists and pretty or bold bracelets.

WHERE TO WEAR IT

If you have a tan, or luscious chocolate skin, wear it at the beach or pool in summer over your swimsuit, with sunglasses for your celebrity privacy. It doesn't mind getting wet. Pair it with a short floaty skirt or flowing palazzo pants for dinner. Dress it up for a fantasy event by layering it over a pink or white Pompeii dress and adding multiple citrine and pearl bracelets for a fancy event. Choose lobe earrings, not dangly ones as the mesh at the neckline can get tangled. Tiaras, of course, pair with everything!

CARE: If you are in a hotel room, hand wash in warm water and hang it in the shower to dry.  At home, turn it inside out and put it in a lingerie bag before putting it in the washer and dryer.
