Rosetta Tunic
$ 249.00
Wear this romantic tunic with an embroidered rose center panel and a delicate textured lace neckline with a pink petalled flower with two light and dark green velvet leaves for a special event or photograph. Add a straw hat with flowers and a cream or pale pink or sage parasol. Have your photo turned into a Rubens or Mary Cassett impressionist style painting using a technique available on Photoshop or hire a real portrait artist. Wear it to your own wedding in the Spring?
This painting-worthy tunic combines delicate original art-embroidery of pink and white roses with soft lightweight travel-friendly permanently pleated fabric. It is lovingly sewn by studio artists in Maryland.
DETAILS
The detailed multi-thread rose embroidery on organza, with a cut out embroidered hem edge in the front, comes from the Lee Andersen studio and is very rare. Even Lee cannot make it again as the specialty embroidery company who made it exclusively for her, disappeared during Covid. Delicate external seams outline the diagonals at the shoulder line leading up to your face.
FABRIC
The main fabric is a lightweight ivory Fortuni 100% soft poly. It is permanently pleated in a machine like a waffle iron. It stretches and folds and travels with ease. It won't crush. Once out of your suitcase, give it a quick shake, throw it over your head and off you go to a fancy event. Sleep in it if the event runs late or too much delicately flavored rose wine has passed your lips.
SILHOUETTE and SIZING
This raglan sleeve, one size garment, has a high fashion oversize look on a small person. It is as beautiful on generous a Rubenesque figure.
The sleeves are 3/4 length with wavy petal edges to show off delicate wrists and pretty or bold bracelets.
WHERE TO WEAR IT
Wear it 'oh so casually' at the beach in summer with sunglasses for your celebrity privacy. Pair it with a white tank and cute white denim flood pants, decorated flip flops and a loosely pulled up ponytail. Pack it for a trip to the Islands and sit at the water bar with it thrown, decorously, over your swimsuit so you can relax your tummy! It doesn't mind getting wet! Dress it up for a fantasy event by layering it over a pink Pompeii dress and adding multiple rose quarts and pearl bracelets for a fancy event. Choose lobe earrings not dangly as the lace at the neckline can get tangled. Tiaras, of course, go with everything!
CARE:
Turn it inside out and put it in a lingerie bag before putting it in the washer and dryer.
