Deep Forest Hand Dyed Duster

This artful fantasy duster that floats like a dancer, is hand dyed by artisan Erin Cassell in a painterly combination of deep cool purples, ocean teals, and night forest greens. It is lovingly sewn by studio artists in Maryland with hand cut and free form details.

DETAILS

The free form ties at the front high waist are decorated with small deep green satin ribbon roses, velvet leaves, and long trailing hand formed tie-able ribbons edged in black. Use all the ribbons or just some. This flower, leaf, and 'trails' decoration also appears at the top of the back anchoring the insert.

The two fronts and the center back have full triangular inserts with more bark/armor bronze and less teal subtly hand dyed into the panels.

The back of the soft floating spiral cut collar with waving edges retains the glossy selvage edge which takes the different dye colors in a subtly different way. The hem has a free form petal edge in black.

The sleeves are 3/4 length to show off delicate wrists, and pretty or bold bracelets.

FABRIC

The delicate 100% rayon fabric breathes for a comfortable experience all year long.

SILHOUETTE and SIZING

The generous triangular shape floats from the body in a flattering silhouette. This one size garment has a narrow feminine shoulder line but a clever, generous cut over the bust and hips. It drapes to a smaller body and shows well on a more generous body.

The two sizes are one/size and one/size plus.

WHERE TO WEAR IT

Throw it on over jeans and a tee shirt and wear comfortable flats for casual drama and subtle admiration. 

Add jewelry and make up then layer it over a simple black dress, top and pant, or our artful Pompeii dress for an evening out.

Go all out with jewelry, the companion vest, and tunic, to make a statement and invite interesting conversations.

CARE: Hand wash in cold water and hang from a tree on a clothes hanger to dry, to keep the natural wrinkles and the strongest color.

 Or throw it in the washer and dryer and take it out as soon as it is dry for a smooth finish. Wash separately for the first wash.
