Deep Forest Hand Dyed Vest
$ 180.00
LThis lightweight travel friendly vest is your new best friend. It transforms regular human clothes into a special outfit that invites compliments. It loves to be layered for either casual, feminine, tough, fantasy or dressy results. It is hand dyed by artisan Erin Cassell in a painterly combination of deep cool purples, ocean teals, and night forest greens. It is lovingly sewn by studio artists in Maryland with hand cut and free form details.
DETAILS
The black edges wave like petals. The back is decorated with a small deep green satin ribbon rose, a velvet leaf, and long trailing hand formed ribbons edged in black.
Part of the garment retains the glossy selvage edge which takes the different dye colors in a subtly different way.
One armhole is wrapped in a single freeform petal shape for strength. The other armhole has a double wrap.
FABRIC
The delicate 100% rayon fabric breathes for a comfortable experience all year long. It is low maintenance and wants to be rolled up and tucked into a tiny corner of an overnight bag.
SILHOUETTE and SIZING
The long waving free form lapels add a soft disguise for tummies and invite deep necklaces to elongate the figure. This one size garment has a narrow feminine shoulder line but a clever, generous float over the bust and hips.
WHERE TO WEAR IT
Treat it as a travel staple in your wardrobe. Throw it on over regular human clothes and be transformed! Throw it on at the beach over your daywear shorts and a spaghetti strap tee and head to a restaurant. Layer it over a dark tee shirt and leggings or jeans in winter. It dresses up with black pants and jewelry for the theater, and layers with its companion pieces to make an appearance at an Art gallery opening or a Fairy festival.
CARE: Hand wash in cold water and hang from a tree on a clothes hanger to dry, to keep the natural wrinkles and the strongest color.
Or throw it in the washer and dryer and take it out as soon as it is dry for a smooth finish. Wash separately for the first wash.
