The artist (Redbud Jewelry) takes a real piece of honeycomb and creates a plaster mold. She then burns out the wax honeycomb and injects the molten sterling silver. What comes out is a beautiful, natural piece of sterling jewelry.
In this piece she's set a beautiful faceted citrine stone, and oxidized it to give it a beautiful antique look.
