Lily Tunic

$ 125.00

Want to feel extra feminine? Wear this pinky-peach Fortuni tunic with a center panel of an embroidered stargazer lilies and vines in neutral colors.  The neckline continues this feminine aesthetic with delicate pink lace overlayed with embroidered and sequins. It brings attention up to your face and is kind to mature necks, and frames young necks like delicate jewelry. Pose in a garden of white blossoms, or in a neutral taupe interior. Add a pretty straw hat and pose for an artist to create a Renoir or Mary Cassett impressionist style painting, or use a technique available on Photoshop for a quick conversion of a photo into a painted look. Wear it to your own non-traditional wedding, or as a Mother of the Bride or Groom in the Spring? This event worthy tunic combines delicate original art-embroidery with soft lightweight travel-friendly permanently pleated sophisticated pink-peach fabric. It is lovingly sewn by studio artists in Maryland.

DETAILS

The detailed rare, multi-thread lily embroidery on a nearly invisible mesh, has an artistic cut-out embroidered hem edge. There are nine subtle thread colors in this leaf, vine and lily embroidery. It comes from the Lee Andersen studio and is very rare. Even Lee cannot make it again as the specialty embroidery company who made it exclusively for her, disappeared during Covid. Delicate external seams outline the diagonals at the shoulder line leading up to your face.

FABRIC

The main fabric is a lightweight peach-pink Fortuni 100% soft poly. It is permanently pleated in a machine like a waffle iron. It stretches and folds and travels with ease. It won't crush. Once out of your suitcase, give it a quick shake, throw it over your head and go off to your fancy event. Layer it on top of your lingerie and entertain in it if you have delightful visitors in your hotel room late into the night. Sleep in it if too much delicately flavored rose wine has passed your lips and you accidentally fall asleep in the middle of a delightfully humorous sentence.

SILHOUETTE and SIZING

This raglan sleeve, one size garment, has a high fashion oversize look on a small person. It is as beautiful on a generous Rubenesque figure.

The sleeves are 3/4 length with wavy petal edges to show off delicate wrists and pretty or bold bracelets.

WHERE TO WEAR IT

Wear it to an elegant garden party or wedding in the Spring and become an addition to the beauty of the setting. Select your background and pose, without appearing to. Casually sip your bubbly in a suitably delicate glass. Graciously allow the other guests to take your photo. Pair this tunic with a pink Pompeii dress for the complete look.  Add multiple sage leaf, rose quartz and pearl bracelets for a feminine tinkling sound. Choose lobe earrings, not dangly ones, as the lace at the neckline can get tangled.  A tiara, of course, goes with everything! Victorian Boots are also acceptable. Boots, worn out by adventures, play the feminine off the tough girl look.

CARE:

Turn it inside out and put it in a lingerie bag before putting it in the washer and dryer.
