Nouveau Lotus Necklace

The Egyptians saw the lotus flower as a symbol of rebirth. It closes at night and sinks underwater, then re-emerges and blooms again in the morning . Thus the flower became a natural symbol of creation and the sun. We designed this necklace with an art nouveau aesthetic. Frank Lloyd Wright meets Ancient Egypt, and this beatiful pendant was born. It's dainty yet structurally sound, made from stainless steel. Lotus flowers come in white, blue and pink and we tried to mimic these colors with a faceted tanzanite briolette and two faceted garnets. The chain is black and brass 'disco' chain that sparkles in the light. The pendant and beads are 2 inches long while the chain is 17 inches total with brass findings.
